Before Netflix’s popular “Drive to Survive” series, there was Red Bull Moto Spy: an all-access look at Red Bull athletes in the AMA Supercross Championship.
Through five seasons and more than 30 episodes, we were fortunate enough to create a first of its kind series following supercross' top athletes, including Ken Roczen, Cooper Webb, Jett and Hunter Lawrence, and more.
The wildly popular series remains one of the most viewed long-format, episodic content that has ever aired across Red Bull Motorsports YouTube, Red Bull TV and Red Bull social channels.
THE VURB MISSION:
The AMA Supercross calendar is one the most grueling in all of motorsports. Seventeen rounds over the course of 18 weeks pushes riders to the brink. Throughout the seven-episode Moto Spy series, which released from December through May each year, we would follow, develop, and change storylines in real time to keep the content as relevant as possible.

In order to allow time for client review, these episodes, consisting of sometimes seven or more unique shoots, would be produced, edited, sound mixed, and colored all within three week turnaround times, while the capture team stayed on the ground shooting for the following episodes. Episodes ranged from 17 to 25 minutes.
"The filming and editing is better than most shows produced for Netflix."
